10 Disney Attractions That Are Worth the Wait

There are some rides worth sitting in line for, FastPass or not, when you are at Disney World. A lot of the classics make the list, but when it comes down to it, your time is better spent elsewhere, catching a show or experiencing the parks. These ten rides though, they should be done no matter how much time you need to wait, because they are the keys to putting together a fantastic Disney World experience.

Expedition Everest, Animal Kingdom

This fast paced ride is not only exciting, but the line goes relatively fast even when the park is full. Half of the line is indoors, so there is plenty to look at and entertain yourself with while you wait. The ride is well worth the lines for Walt Disney World standards, and it is the one roller coaster in Animal Kingdom recommended.

 

Dumbo, Magic Kingdom

Dumbo is one of those iconic rides that everyone has to do while at the Magic Kingdom, regardless of age. If you only ever go to the park once, or have never ridden it on your last trip, brave the line to say you did it.

 

Space Mountain, Magic Kingdom

Space Mountain is one of the most famous and iconic rides at Walt Disney World and because the line and ride is mostly indoors it is worth waiting to ride in all weather. The ride is entertaining, fast paced and definitely a must do while at Disney.

 

Seven Dwarves Mine Ride, Magic Kingdom

This ride just got a recent upgrade, and it is so much better than it was before. If you are going to wait in line for this ride it is worth riding in the evening when it is even more exciting and all lit up.

 

Tower of Terror, Hollywood Studios

This ride has long been one of the most popular rides at Walt Disney World, and the one thing most guests to Hollywood Studios want to tick off their list. The lines for this ride wind their way around the Tower, outside, so in the summer months a lot of people skip it unless they can get a FastPass for it. Whichever option you are able to arrange for, wait this ride out.

 

Star Tours, Hollywood Studios

Until Disney World brings us a park featuring Star Wars, Star Tours simulated flight ride is the best option and worth the long wait. It doesn’t matter the time of year, or festival or not, fans flock to this ride and add it to their list of must dos. Even if you are not a huge fan, a ride on it is worth the wait.

 

Kilimanjaro Safaris, Animal Kingdom

This is not at all the most exciting ride at Disney in terms of thrills and dips, but it is a great ride and example of how Disney is able to do it all- almost. On busy days the line for this ride can get long, but the Safari is a great thing to see and a Disney must.

 

Soarin’, EPCOT

Soarin’ is one of the newer Disney rides that guests at EPCOT have made sure is on every must do list, and once you’ve been on it is easy to see why! The lines are long, so long that Disney has added tons of techy entertainment to keep everyone from getting restless.

 

Spaceship Earth, EPCOT

Because of its location, Spaceship Earth is one of the more popular rides at Disney, and it is well worth the wait to make sure that you get to tick off this ride for your Disney World trip. Make sure you get to ride along this bit of Disney history.

 

Pirate’s of the Caribbean, Magic Kingdom

If you are a fan of the Pirates franchise, it all started with this ride, and even though it is one of the older rides in the parks, it is well worth the time in line. Entertaining and exciting, Pirates is a true Disney classic.
